SOPHIA POOR JOINS gen-Z FOOTBALL

We are delighed to welcome Sophia Poor to Gen-Z Football!

An exciting young GK who had represented England at multiple youth age groups, Sophia made her WSL debut for Aston Villa as a 17 year old against Chelsea in April 2024. In that game, and her subsequent appearance in the league, she impressed so much that she was nominated for the league’s Player Of The Month award.

Representing her country from U16s through to U19s, Sophia featured for England at the 2024 U17 European Championship finishing second.

Sophia joined London City Lionesses in the summer of 2025 on a three-year contract, and enjoyed a loan spell with WSL2 side Nottingham Forest in thefirst half of the 2025-26 season.
